An exciting Software Developer job has just become available at one of the leading manufacturer and solutions providers of integrated material handling system for a broad spectrum of manufacturing industries in Penang. This is a role for an experienced individual who is an enthusiastic and passionate about product life cycle management solutions and manufacturing operations management solutions and automation.

About the Software Developer Role:
The Software Developer job scope includes a wide range of responsibilities to include to lead the team on providing solution services to the clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software components based on technical design document that leverages company software
• Write and execute unit test plans to test software components
• Participate in post-development activities such as UAT, system go-live support
• Communicate with the team and project managers to provide input in order to keep the project within scope, on time, and to monitor any changes to the detailed design specifications
• Ensure excellence and quality of work based on company methodology and standards
• Actively participate in the fulfilment of personal performance plan including staying up-to-date with the related development tools and technologies; attending company provided training, and self-train, on company tools and products

To succeed in this Software Developer role, you must have a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or other technical discipline.

Key Requirements:

• Two or more years of practical experience in software development, preferably with the following programming languages: ASP.NET, C# / VB, HTML 5, Angular JS, JavaScript, SQL Server, Oracle
• Good analytical skills
• Working knowledge of SDLC and source code management tools
• Strong verbal/written communication and teamwork skills
• Working experience in the manufacturing industry
• Experience and knowledge in MES product is an advantage
• Good understanding of digital manufacturing IT system around ERP, PLM, LIMS, WMS, FWB, and other enterprise systems is an advantage
