Senior Java Developer

As a result of ongoing and continued successes both within Malaysia and internationally, this reputable organisation within the banking industry is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their regional development team. In this job, you will be based in Malaysia.

About the Senior Java Developer Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining enhancements to the new applications to take on new systems development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing current systems, re-architecting and redeveloping from older to newer applications
• Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
• Working closely with various business partners, analyst and designers
• Producing detailed specifications and writing the programme codes
• Delivering and developing system according to the requirements from the client
• Recommending software upgrades to existing systems
• Ensuring the quality of the product before the products go-live
• System maintenance when the applications go-live

To succeed in this Senior Java Developer role, you are responsible for delivering IT projects to align with business growth strategies within the company.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of three years' production application design and development experience in Java technologies
• Object-oriented analysis and design using established and tested enterprise design patterns
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot and web applications development
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus point
• Required knowledge: object-oriented programming, code refactoring
