What you'll do:
As a Senior Sales Specialist – Small and Medium Business based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business acquisition within the SMB segment. Your day-to-day activities will involve qualifying leads from various sources, selling an array of advanced communication products directly or through partners, developing tailored solution proposals that meet specific customer requirements, and managing all aspects of the sales cycle from initial contact through to contract negotiation. Success in this role requires you to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders within target accounts while collaborating closely with internal teams such as product specialists and account managers. You will be responsible for keeping CRM records current so that your pipeline remains transparent to colleagues. By proactively recommending solutions that drive customer growth and supporting complex deals with expert input from across the organisation, you will help expand market share while delivering outstanding value to clients.
- Qualify both inbound and outbound leads within the mid-market and SMB segment, guiding them through each stage of the sales process until successful closure.
- Sell a defined range of products and services directly or via partners to a targeted list of Tier 2 accounts within your assigned territory or squad.
- Engage internal specialists such as solutions experts, product managers, and partner teams when needed to shape compelling solutions and support complex deals.
- Develop solution proposals and value-based pitches that address customer needs across diverse applications and use-cases.
- Manage your entire sales cycle by maintaining accurate forecasting, detailed account planning, and requesting appropriate resources at critical moments.
- Lead the development, presentation, and negotiation of value propositions, pricing structures, and contractual terms to secure new business agreements.
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers in the mid-market segment to maintain strong client relationships, cross-sell relevant products or services, and support complex renegotiations.
- Keep CRM systems up-to-date with clear visibility into your pipeline progress so the wider team can track activities effectively.
- Proactively recommend solutions that support customers’ growth objectives while ensuring alignment with their strategic goals.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to win new clients and grow revenue within the SMB sector.
What you bring:
- At least three years of proven experience in B2B sales roles within technology sectors such as SaaS or telecommunications is essential for success in this position.
- Experience penetrating small and midsize enterprises by building rapport with multiple stakeholders across different levels within an account is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are vital; you must be able to collaborate effectively across functions while nurturing positive relationships internally and externally.
- Clear communication abilities—both written and spoken—are necessary for presenting proposals confidently as well as negotiating terms with prospects or existing customers.
