COUNTRY SALES MANAGER

What you'll do:


As Country Sales Manager you will play a central role in shaping the commercial trajectory of the organisation’s Malaysian entity. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing robust go-to-market strategies for priority sectors while actively pursuing new business opportunities through direct engagement with enterprise clients. You will be responsible for expanding existing accounts by identifying cross-selling possibilities across IT services and engineering domains. Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders will be essential as you act as an executive sponsor for key accounts. In addition to your commercial mandate, you will oversee daily operations—ensuring smooth collaboration between local teams and regional/global functions—and promote a culture of engagement and professional growth. Your ability to coordinate across departments such as HR, finance, legal, presales, delivery oversight, and administration will be vital in supporting healthy operations. Success in this role requires balancing strategic vision with operational execution while representing the organisation externally at industry events.


* Own profit and loss responsibility for Malaysia by setting ambitious revenue and margin targets while ensuring consistent achievement through effective sales strategies.
* Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market plans tailored to priority sectors such as Healthcare, Logistics, Banking & Financial Services, and Manufacturing.
* Drive new client acquisition by leveraging direct sales efforts, forming strategic partnerships, and utilising the global network’s reputation to open doors with enterprise customers.
* Expand existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and introducing multi-service offerings across IT services and engineering solutions.
* Maintain accurate forecasting processes to ensure reliable sales pipeline visibility and consistently meet profitability objectives.
* Build enduring relationships with C-level stakeholders at both enterprise clients and group organisations to foster trust and long-term collaboration.
* Act as executive sponsor for key accounts by ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention rates, and ongoing growth opportunities.
* Coordinate closely with offshore delivery teams to guarantee service quality for remote projects while maintaining client success standards.
* Represent the organisation at client meetings, industry events, partnership forums, and other external engagements to enhance brand credibility.
* Oversee daily operations in Malaysia by aligning local teams with regional/global functions across sales, presales, delivery oversight, HR, finance, and administration.

To excel as Country Sales Manager you will bring extensive experience in commercial leadership gained from IT services or engineering consultancies where you have successfully driven new business acquisition initiatives. Your strategic mindset enables you to interpret market dynamics accurately while formulating go-to-market plans that resonate with target audiences. You possess outstanding interpersonal skills which allow you to cultivate trusted relationships at senior levels—both internally among colleagues and externally with clients. Operationally astute candidates are able to coordinate complex projects across multiple departments ensuring alignment between local teams and broader organisational goals. A deep understanding of Malaysia’s technology sector combined with management expertise—particularly around recruitment processes coaching mentoring multicultural teams—will set you apart. Academic qualifications at Bachelor’s or Master’s level underpin your technical knowledge base while your track record demonstrates consistent achievement against demanding sales targets. Experience working within multinational settings further enhances your suitability especially if complemented by language proficiency beyond English.

* Deep familiarity with Malaysia’s enterprise technology landscape coupled with an ability to identify emerging opportunities within priority sectors.
* Management expertise encompassing hiring processes as well as coaching/mentoring staff members in multicultural environments to drive performance collectively.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or related fields such as Management Information Technology or Engineering disciplines.
* Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in digital transformation sales or engineering consultancy roles involving both new business development initiatives and account management responsibilities.
* Proven track record of consistently achieving challenging sales targets alongside demonstrated potential for leading business operations within Malaysia’s competitive market context.
* Experience collaborating effectively within multinational or group organisations is highly desirable; fluency in English is required while additional regional languages are considered advantageous.
