What you'll do:

As a Business Analyst – AS400 Life Insurance Systems based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of agency distribution technology for a respected insurance provider. Your daily responsibilities will centre around facilitating agile project delivery by capturing detailed user stories, planning robust UAT strategies, and implementing complex requirements that meet stakeholder needs. You will collaborate closely with business users to gather insights, document requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions for policy administration systems such as AS400 and Polisy Asia. Supporting both new product launches and ongoing system enhancements will be integral to your role as you perform thorough testing activities and post-deployment checks. Your ability to manage multiple priorities within strict deadlines will be essential during critical project phases. By mentoring team members and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, you will contribute to scaling up team capabilities while driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce production issues. Effective communication with stakeholders will ensure alignment on expectations throughout each stage of the project lifecycle.

  • Facilitate Agile project delivery by documenting user stories, planning UAT strategies, and implementing complex requirements to ensure timely completion of all initiatives with expected quality standards.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from multiple stakeholders across the organisation to drive effective solutions for agency distribution technology systems.
  • Support day-to-day operations of core insurance systems including Policy Admin Systems (AS400), Polisy Asia, and Compensation System testing to maintain system reliability and accuracy.
  • Lead preparation and testing for new product launches, campaign enhancements, and system upgrades to ensure seamless integration into existing processes.
  • Perform comprehensive testing activities and post-deployment verification while strictly adhering to governance procedures and compliance standards.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively within tight deadlines by applying strong organisational skills and maintaining focus during critical project delivery times.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to help scale up capabilities and foster a collaborative environment focused on shared success.
