Senior IT Manager – Applications & Data (Financial Services)

Our client is in search of a Senior IT Manager to spearhead end-to-end technology project management within a dynamic financial services environment. This role encompasses project planning, application enhancement, timely reporting, issue resolution, and risk identification. You will also ensure that all application and solution designs meet standards for performance, scalability, security, and supportability.

What you'll do:

As a Senior IT Manager, you will be at the forefront of technology project management in a fast-paced financial services environment. Your role will involve overseeing the entire lifecycle of technology project delivery from inception to completion. You will ensure that all technical aspects of applications are in line with industry standards and best practices. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing and upholding internal IT policies, coordinating system testing, implementation, and post-go-live support. You will work closely with regional or external technology partners for system improvements.

You possess a strong understanding of general IT controls, application controls, and SQL. Your familiarity with compliance and regulatory expectations related to IT sets you apart. Your strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills enable you to navigate complex situations effectively. As an effective communicator with a good command of English, you can articulate your ideas clearly to various stakeholders.

• A recognised degree or professional qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT within financial services or a regulated industry
• Strong understanding of general IT controls, application controls, and SQL
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory expectations related to IT
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
