IT Business Analyst

What you'll do:
As an IT Business Analyst, your role will be pivotal in facilitating Agile ceremonies, defining project scopes with stakeholders, preparing system documentation, acting as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. You will also be responsible for conducting end-user acceptance testing, translating client requirements into actionable tasks for development teams. Your ability to monitor project progress while managing risks will be crucial in ensuring projects are delivered within set parameters. Utilising Jira software for various tasks will be a significant part of your role. Additionally, you will perform requirement analysis, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Facilitate and run daily Agile ceremonies including Scrum meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals
- Prepare system documentation such as functional specifications and user manuals
- Act as a mediator between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project goals and milestones
- Support and conduct end user acceptance testing
- Confirm delivery schedules with business parties and follow up on system implementation
- Translate client requirements into detailed project documentation and actionable tasks for development teams
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, resolve issues, and negotiate solutions to ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget constraints
- Utilise Jira software for task tracking, backlog management, sprint planning, and prioritisation of development tasks
- Perform requirement analysis, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis as part of business analyst responsibilities
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this IT Business Analyst position brings a Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT-related disciplines along with at least three years of application development experience in an SA or BA role. Your ability to identify requirements through various scenarios will be key in addressing real business problems. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively convey requirements and business scenarios to both business users and technical teams. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in IT related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of application development experience in SA or BA role
- Ability to identify and define requirements via multiple scenarios
- Ability to understand, explain and effectively convey requirements to business users and technical teams
- Excellent writing skills and good verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is preferred
