What you'll do:
As a Senior Specialist in the IT PMO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of project management within the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be developing and implementing project management standards that promote consistency and excellence in project delivery. You will also provide crucial guidance to project managers, ensuring they adhere to governance processes. Additionally, you will conduct regular reviews of project performance, identifying areas for improvement. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you process large datasets to generate insightful reports for management. Resource allocation will also fall under your purview; you'll coordinate resources across projects optimising utilisation. Furthermore, you'll collaborate with various departments to establish SOPs and Policies while conducting internal audits to ensure adherence. Lastly, your leadership skills will shine as you guide PMO team members towards achieving team goals.
- Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Provide guidance to project managers and teams on governance processes and standards

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Specialist, IT PMO role will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. You should hold a Bachelor's or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or other related disciplines. Certifications in Project Management and IT Operation Management such as PMP, ITIL, Prince2, Agile would be advantageous. With a minimum of 10 years' work experience, including at least 5 years in PMO/Project Management within the IT and financial services industry, you are well-versed in the challenges and opportunities this role presents. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be crucial in making data-driven decisions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders. A strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and tools is expected, with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies preferred. Lastly, your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent, and team-oriented environment will be key to your success.
