Head of Product

An exciting Head of Product job opportunity has just become available at one of the leading IT organisations in the country.

About the Head of Product Role:
In this role, you will be managing the product development and pre-sales team and liaise with other teams in relation to product sales, implementation, maintenance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage product and pre-sales teams
• Work directly with customers to understand their business models, the technical landscape and the problems that they face in delivering to their end users
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research
• Understand the commercial and financial viability of your product be able to comprehensively model the financial success of your products
• Work closely with R&D, engineering and marketing teams, providing detailed requirements and guidance
• Develop, manage and communicate the product strategy and roadmap to both internal and external key stakeholders
• Support the sales and business development teams in expanding the penetration and reach of products
• Provide product technical expertise to support sales and business development activities
• Concisely present products and its value proposition in workshops and seminars

To succeed in this Head of Product role, you must have strong communication skills and ability to negotiate at all levels of the organisation.

Key Requirements:

• At least 10 years’ experience in product management or market development of technical products
• Degree or certificate qualifications is desirable but not required
• Good understanding of banking software applications, especially related to cards and payments
• Extensive experience with leading medium to big teams
• Background in either marketing, strategy or design is desirable
• Experience working in product management of API, SaaS/PaaS based products and solutions
• Experience working with FS clients is preferred
• Extensive international and cross-cultural experience
• Proven experience with people management and strategic planning
