A leading global technology provider is excited to hire Network Consultants in Kuala Lumpur to support regional SD-WAN projects. If you have SD-WAN exposure and are eager to grow, you'll be supported by experienced elite senior network engineers while gaining hands-on delivery experience across documentation, configuration support, change windows and troubleshooting. What you'll do:

As a Senior Network Consultant you’ll be at the centre of every client’s network transformation journey. Your daily responsibilities will involve to:

  • Facilitate detailed customer discovery workshops to ascertain business objectives, technical requirements, constraints, risks and measurable success criteria while establishing the foundation for bespoke network solutions.
  • Deliver formal presales presentations that articulate technical scope, assumptions, exclusions, proposed architecture, design considerations, delivery methodology, risks and mitigation strategies with clarity and precision.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Account teams to support opportunities throughout their lifecycle by ensuring a seamless transition from presales activities into delivery phases.
  • Contribute comprehensive technical documentation including compliance mapping, clarifications and solution narratives for RFI/RFP/RFQ responses as part of the bid process demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Define proof-of-concept objectives and scope such as establish success criteria, resource requirements, timelines and evaluation plans that align precisely with client decision-making processes.
  • Construct and execute proof-of-concept demonstrations in laboratory or client environments including hands-on configuration, validation testing, evidence collection and issue resolution to substantiate real-world value.
  • Produce thorough proof-of-concept documentation and closure outputs such as production-ready architectures and rollout strategies for effective implementation.
  • Oversee end-to-end solution design by producing high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD), topology diagrams, implementation documentation while translating requirements into actionable designs encompassing routing/IP design, segmentation, resiliency/high availability, secure connectivity, integration and migration/cutover approaches.
  • Provide bill of materials/quantity (BOM/BoQ) technical inputs as required while ensuring feasibility and alignment with delivery constraints.
  • Serve as design authority during client design reviews and internal governance meetings while managing architectural decisions and technical risk controls throughout the project lifecycle.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this position has:

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects comprehensively across presales engagement proof-of-concept construction validation reporting solution architecture design authority responsibilities and hands-on delivery execution.
  • Exceptional customer-facing abilities including refined presentation skills structured communication techniques capacity to elaborate scope trade-offs risks justify technical decisions and foster trust among diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive understanding of networking principles complemented by practical experience in architecture/delivery (routing/IP design/integration/troubleshooting) as well as familiarity with SD-WAN technologies SASE/SSE or network security solutioning/delivery.
  • Proven track record of implementation leadership evidenced through cutover governance processes issue resolution methodologies delivery assurance practices or data centre relocation projects.
  • Multi-vendor experience across enterprise networking/security platforms enabling swift adaptation to varied technologies whilst maintaining exemplary standards of interoperability.
  • Previous employment within SI/MSP/professional services settings where comprehensive ownership is expected in demonstrating adeptness at managing multiple stakeholders concurrently whilst delivering results under demanding circumstances.
  • Preferred certifications include CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) or equivalent senior-level networking qualification plus relevant security/SD-WAN credentials; minimum requirement is CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent certification or demonstrable experience at this level.
