SEO Specialist

As a result of ongoing and continued successes within Malaysia and internationally, this global leader within the IT services field is seeking an SEO Specialist. In this job, you will join its sales and marketing division based in Malaysia.

About the SEO Specialist Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for managing ongoing SEO efforts, e.g., keyword research, metatags, content, website structure, internal links, backlinks and reporting on performances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop effective SEO strategies for the improvement of organic traffic and search ranking on major search engines, i.e., Google, Bing, Baidu, Yahoo, and Naver
• Be the subject-matter expert for the organisation's SEO by identifying SEO growth opportunities, drafting competitors’ analysis, measuring content performance measurement to discovering content gaps and potential keywords for target audiences
• Keep abreast with market trends and changes, along with search landscapes, visualise findings and provide search visibility audits of ranking performance. Stay up to date with industry developments on topics such as SEO, SERP features, search ranking factors, and key algorithms
• Work alongside the web development team on tracking and resolving site performance issues using a variety of tools

The successful SEO specialist is results-driven, willing to learn, and well organised. You must have experience managing SEO on Google, Bing, Baidu, Yahoo, Naver and major search engines.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of two to three years of work experience in the SEO field. Experience managing SEO on Google, Bing, Baidu, Yahoo, Naver and major search engines
• Strong understanding of current SEO concepts, strategy and best practices, with a proven track record of delivering successful SEO projects
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with large volumes of data. Experience using Google Analytics or any other related analytics tools
• Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager. Familiar with HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Excellent reporting skills with a proactive approach to business intelligence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin. Knowledge in Japanese, Korean, Spanish or Thai is a plus due to the nature of the role
