Linux Engineer (Red Hat)

As a Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing, designing, and coordinating infrastructure to support application environments. You will manage the setup of development, testing, and production environments and ensure seamless connectivity with partner applications. Your role will involve troubleshooting server and network issues, prepare system and database backup procedures, and simulating disaster recovery scenarios.

What you'll do:

• Analyse and plan infrastructure requirements for application environments.
• Install and deploy application software, providing ongoing support.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams to ensure server and database readiness.
• Troubleshoot server and network-related issues.
• Prepare backup and restore procedures for systems and databases.
• Simulate and prepare disaster recovery for managed applications.
• Manage releases and deployment across various stages of the SDLC.
• Automate monitoring and configure alerts.
• Document processes and maintain knowledge operational procedures (KOP).

What you bring:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Linux OS environments, experience in Red Hat / RHEL is a strong advantage.
• Strong skills in application deployment automation using scripting languages such as Python or Groovy.
• Familiarity with system and database backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures.
• Experience in troubleshooting server and network problems.
• Knowledge of vendor software installation and documentation.
• Ability to document technical architecture using server and network diagrams.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
