VMware Engineer, L3 (IT Services)

What you'll do:

As a VMWare Engineer, L3, your role will be multifaceted. You will assist sales account managers by providing presales expertise on delivering the desired solution for the customer. Your responsibilities will also include designing and delivering support and service solutions for managed services customers in line with industry best practice. You will provide technical project management services while working closely with Engagement Managers to ensure seamless customer migration. Implementing new and refreshed managed service solutions for hosted customer environments will also fall under your purview. Additionally, you will monitor, manage, and improve managed service environments while identifying and resolving root cause of issues ensuring continual service availability.

• Assist sales account managers by providing presales expertise

What you bring:

The ideal VMWare Engineer, L3 candidate brings a wealth of experience to the table. With a minimum of 5 years’ experience deploying, configuring, managing, upgrading, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere including ESXi and vCenter server under your belt, you are well-versed in this field. Your background includes experience in a 2nd or 3rd line support or administration role predominantly working within virtual data center services and infrastructure. You have a detailed technical understanding of related datacenter technologies including storage, backup, disaster recovery and security. Your ability to understand and navigate technical situations with strong problem-solving skills is commendable. Additionally, you have experience in technical project management and producing low-level technical designs and supporting implementation documentation.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience deploying, configuring, managing, upgrading, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere including ESXi and vCenter server
