Platform Engineer (Banking)

A global financial institution is seeking for a Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in system virtualization, Nutanix hyper-converged technology, and a comprehensive understanding of high availability and disaster recovery setups. Proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments is essential to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization across diverse platforms.

What you'll do:

• Design, deploy, and maintain virtualized environments using hyper-converged infrastructure for financial systems.
• Ensure platform stability, security, and performance across Windows and Linux server environments.
• Design and manage high availability and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using modern tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve performance issues.
• Ensure systems adhere to financial industry regulations and best practices.
• Implement security controls and perform risk assessments.

What you bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Platform Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer, ideally in financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix AHV.
• Proficiency in high availability and disaster recovery setups.
• Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to design and present solutions to stakeholders.
