Support Engineer

What you'll do:

As a Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's IT systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing support and administration duties on various infrastructures, monitoring IT system health status, and ensuring optimal network performance. You will also be tasked with performing regular Windows security patching on workstations and servers, supporting global user account administration, managing mailbox management, and supporting APAC machine and software inventory. A basic understanding of procurement processes and procedures is advantageous.

• Perform support/administration duty on infrastructure including system/network/ticketing tool
• Monitor IT System health status, network performance, and security control
• Perform problem diagnostic using advanced troubleshooting skills
• Perform regular Windows security patching on workstations and servers
• Support global user account administration and mailbox management
• Support APAC machine and software inventory
• Possess basic knowledge of procurement process and procedure
• Knowledge of Golden Image/Patching

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Support Engineer position will bring a wealth of experience in desktop engineer support along with a degree or diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science. You should have knowledge of various IT applications such as MS Windows, MS Office, O365 Administration, Antivirus Products, Networks Infrastructure, Patching tools (SCCM), and Logistics Application. Your ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision will be crucial to your success in this role. You should also possess strong attention to detail, an analytical mind, and outstanding problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, and the ability to communicate in regional or local languages is highly desirable.

• Degree/Diploma holder in Information Technology/Computer Science or IT-related training
• Minimum 3 years or above experience in Desktop Engineer support
• Knowledge of IT Applications such as MS Windows, MS Office, O365 Administration, Antivirus Products, Networks Infrastructure, Patching tools (SCCM), and Logistics Application are preferred.
• A good team player, flexible, able to analyze requirements and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Able to think creatively and possess strong logical thinking.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Able to communicate in regional or local languages.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
