MSSQL DBA (Healthcare)

What you'll do:

As a MS SQL DBA, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our data. Your day-to-day tasks will involve administering and managing the database, providing technical expertise on various aspects of database servers, clusters, replication and disk subsystems. You will also be responsible for ensuring high availability of Database Server. Your proactive approach towards monitoring databases from a performance and capacity management perspective will be highly valued. Additionally, you will perform essential database maintenance activities such as backup/recovery and index reorganisation.

• Administering and managing the database, clustering and replication (MSSQL Server)
• Providing technical expertise on the installation, setup, configuration of database servers, clusters, replication and disk subsystems
• Ensuring high availability of Database Server
• Pro-actively monitoring databases both from a performance and capacity management perspective
• Performing database maintenance activities such as backup/recovery, rebuilding and reorganising indexes
• Ensuring that all database releases are properly assessed and measured from a functionality and performance perspective
• Keeping all database environments up to date with the latest service packs, patches & security fixes
• Troubleshooting and handling all database/replication related issues and tracking them through to resolution
• Taking ownership and ensuring high quality, timely delivery of database related projects

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this MS SQL DBA position brings a wealth of experience in MS SQL Server database administration, design and development. You have a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving various database issues, and you are adept at performance tuning and SQL query development/optimization. Your problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are second to none, and you have programming skills in ASP.Net and MsSQL. Additionally, your excellent communication and writing skills in English will be essential in this role.

• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server database administration, design and development
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking/deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, data replication issues
• Experience in performance tuning, SQL query development/optimization using performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Good problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
• Programming skills in ASP.Net and MsSQL
• Fluency in English with good communication and writing skills
