Our client is seeking a DBA & Middleware Specialist to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is integral to the overall operation of their infrastructure, requiring deep technical knowledge in Database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), Middleware (Redhat JBoss, Oracle Weblogic) and system integration areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent skills managing complex heterogeneous systems for on-premises and public clouds.

What you'll do:
As a DBA & Middleware Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall infrastructure operation. You will be responsible for managing both on-premises and public cloud systems using your deep technical knowledge in Database technologies and Middleware. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operational support, maintenance, advanced administration of the enterprise database & middleware environment, planning and testing disaster recovery processes, performing database administration tasks, managing databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, and proposing system enhancements.
- Provide operational support, maintenance and advanced administration for the enterprise database & middleware environment.
- Plan and test disaster recovery processes and procedures.
- Perform database administration tasks including installation, space management, backup & recovery, patching and upgrades.
- Direct involvement in incidents or problems that cause service impact.
- Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments.
- Propose and implement systems enhancements that will improve the reliability, performance and resiliency of the system.
What you bring:
The ideal DBA & Middleware Specialist brings strong technical knowledge in IT Infrastructure along with experience in Database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and Middleware like Redhat JBoss and Oracle Weblogic. You are adept at managing complex heterogeneous systems for both on-premises and public clouds. Your experience with infra software asset management tracking ensures software compliance in various environments. Knowledge of ITIL V4 is an added advantage.
