About the MSSQL DBA Role:
In this role, you are responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading the SQL server software (versions 2016, 2017, and 2019), and plan and execute database backup and recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server software (versions 2016, 2017, and 2019). Plan and execute database backup and recovery processes
• Set up SQL server clustering for high availability. Work independently to meet deadlines
• Manage production servers with large databases and multiple instances (fixed working hours)
• Proficient in SQL Server log shipping, replication, database mirroring, and AlwaysOn for high availability. Familiar with SQL Agent and its features, including maintenance plans, scheduled jobs, alerts, SQL Mail, and DB Mail
• Be skilled in performance tuning, execution plan optimisation, troubleshooting, and managing indexes and statistics
• Be hands-on executing active clusters, SAN storage, data partitioning, and multi-threaded environments

To succeed in this MSSQL DBA job, you must have between two to four years of hands-on experience as a database administrator of SQL Server Databases in production environments.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer Science, engineering or information technology
• Between two to four 2 years of hands-on experience as a database administrator of SQL server databases in production environments
• Proficiency in database security and audit requirements
• Familiarity with MSSQL features such as TDE, Compression and DMVs
• Good knowledge of SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS
