An exciting VP, SQL DBA job has just become available at one of the top banking clients based in Kuala Lumpur.
About the VP, SQL DBA Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily performance, security, and integrity of the organisation’s database. You will also be tha technical expert for design, implementation and maintenance of database management systems that support the daily business operations and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and design database and update and amend the existing databases
- Set up and test new database and data handling system and monitor database efficiency
- Sustain the security and integrity of data
- Create complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted
- Assist in network and infrastructure projects
- Evaluate and provide recommendation of database requirement
- Participate in system preparation, implementation and UAT
To succeed in this VP, SQL DBA role, you must have five years of work experience in deploying and managing a complex database environment.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or equivalent
- Minimum of five years' experience deploying and managing a complex database environment
- Hands-on experience with server administration, operating system, database, data centre, physical and virtual environment
- Skilled in firewalls, proxy servers, remotes access, intrusion detection systems, encryption, antivirus, DLP, security and risk management and identity management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
