An exciting Storage Engineer (SAN) job opportunity has just become available at one of the leading financial services companies based in Cyberjaya.
About the Storage Engineer (SAN) Role:
In this role, you are responsible to play an SME role on SAN administrations and supports in all areas of SAN infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for Hitachi, NetApp, HPE, Dell EMC, IBM, Huawei storage and brocade SAN switches administration
- Execute across-site replication of significant DR data and able to perform reverse replication upon DR requirements
- Perform fault investigation, troubleshooting, resolution, recovery and root cause analysis for incidents relating to SAN fabrics
- Track and plan for upgrade on storage and related product before product obsolescence
- Conduct performance analysis, tuning, automate system operation, capacity planning and performance management
- Track and drive patch management & software upgrades to ensure systems patches are kept up to date
- Establish adequate monitoring scripts/systems to predict parts failure for preventive measurement
To succeed in this role, you are required to be equipped with very strong SAN storage infrastructure skill sets across various products.
Key Requirements:
- More than five years' experience in SAN infrastructure
- Hands-on experience in Hitachi, NetApp, HPE, Dell EMC, Huawei, IBM Storages and Brocade SAN Switches
- Good knowledge in HA storage (GAD is preferred), ALUA settings, CCI operations
- Strong technical knowledge in implementing, troubleshoot, performance tuning of SAN hardware
