An exciting System Engineer job opportunity has just become available at one of the IT services companies based in Kuala Lumpur.
About the System Engineer Role:
In this business critical role, you will play a role in supporting clients for Malaysia, Singapore and around the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a single point of contact for all change and service requests from users
- Troubleshoot all software/hardware related issues for users
- Ensure daily backups are completed in a timely fashion
- Configure office equipment such as copiers, printers, PC/laptops, mobile phones, network peripheral devices (e.g. firewall, switch, etc.)
- Manage websites, domains, and other third party services
- Perform maintenance tasks on laptops, desktops, EC2 instances, etc.
To succeed in this System Engineer role, you must be equipped with strong infrastructure and cloud administration skill sets covering end users/clients environment.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience with Servers, Databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management tools
- Individuals with AWS Certifications are preferable
- Understanding of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing & Switching, etc.)
- Hands-on Experience with Office365 suite as well as Google Workspace (GSuite)
- Familiarity with various operating systems(Windows, Linux, MacOS) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin
