Infra Specialist (Manufacturing)

An exciting Infra Specialist (Manufacturing) job has just become available with a manufacturing firm based in Klang, Selangor.

About the Infra Specialist (Manufacturing) Role:
In this role, you are responsible for providing L2 IT support for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for daily backup, restoration, disaster recovery planning and execution
• Manage IT infrastructure inventory records. Coordinate with vendors/suppliers on set-up, implementation, repair, and maintenance of IT hardware/software
• Support LAN and WAN networks, including firewall, physical and virtual servers, storage, wireless, managed switches, and e-mail communications
• Perform system health checks and server room storage and network security maintenance in line with service level obligations and minimise downtime
• Provide IT support for enterprises wide application, including ERP systems and MES systems
• Perform hybrid cloud server installation, configuration, server maintenance and patches when necessary
• Maintain cybersecurity compliance within the organisation’s IT network, IT systems, and hybrid cloud environment

To succeed in this Infra Specialist role, you must have hands-on experience with M365, VMware, Firewall (Fortinet), UCS and managed switches (Cisco), Windows and Linux servers environment and Azure cloud.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or Information Technology
• Two or more years of work experience supporting LAN and WAN networks, Microsoft 365, Virtual Machine environment (VMware), Firewall (Fortinet), UCS and managed switches (Cisco), Windows and Linux servers environment
• Hands-on experience in maintaining and supporting manufacturing automation systems
• Hands-on experience in medium-scale project implementation or project management
