An exciting Database Administrator (SQL) job has just become available a retail company based in Kuala Lumpur.
About the Database Administrator (SQL) Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting DBA (SQL). Creating, and maintaining tools to manage the server infrastructure, and resolving complex performance issues by using root-cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop application and data protection strategies for Azure databases
- Establish, automate, and maintain database performance, maintenance processes and audit capabilities
- Collaborate with project teams to create and enforce standards/best practices for physical data model design and SQL coding
- Work with data integration and EDL engineering teams to implement data integration (ETL) design standards and best practices on Azure databases
- Deploy, oversee, and improve solutions for EDL consumption layer. Participate in the assessment and implementation of data management technologies and solutions
To succeed in this Database Administrator (SQL) role, you must have experience in SQL DB, SQL/Python scripting, data integration (ETL) design standards and Azure cloud.
Key Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in tuning and administering Microsoft SQL server/Synapse/cloud-based distributed databases
- Hands-on in database performance and tuning practices and concepts. Able to tune physical data models across Azure cloud database offerings
- Strong experience automating database maintenance processes – SQL/Python coding skills
- Strong understanding of concepts in Data Management
- Strong understanding ETL
