Network Specialist

About the Network Specialist Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, securing, upgrading and administrative tasks of the network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs, builds, and implements network systems across the enterprise
• Planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all local and wide area network connections, corporate servers, associated software, and communication links manage networks to ensure they function efficiently
• Regular tasks include collecting network performance data, monitoring network security, troubleshooting issues, anticipating problems and performing routine maintenance

To succeed in this Network Specialist role, you must be comfortable being a self starter, independent and well rounded network engineer in handling both projects and operations.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of six years technical experience in IT Networking
• Professional certifications for CCNA/CCNP is an added advantage
• Deployment and support experience utilising Cisco Hardware Technologies, IPT and Firewall with extensive knowledge of switching, routing, VPN, LAN, WAN, WLAN, BGP and RIP
• Experience with routing and switching, Data Centre, LAN, WAN/SDWAN, WLAN, Security, IP telephony
• Proficiency with LAN switches/routers and Data Centre switches
