Core Network Architect

An exciting Core Network Architect job opportunity has just become available at one of the leading IT services organisations based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Core Network Architect Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for creating network design layout based on service provision standards and guidelines for internal and external requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the subject-matter expert for Metasolv M6 circuit design or redesign
• Be well versed in company product service to translate into network design layout on Metasolv for customer service design
• Work with other teams to ensure the requests are processed timely in the order queue and complete order design and information update to meet project timeline and customer service handover
• Support in creating or updating of core network design layout to reflect the infrastructure change
• In consultation with operations teams, coordinate circuit cease and associated network decommissioning tasks to remove/recover equipment, including liaising with carrier for link removal and removal from Metalsolv

To succeed in this Core Network Architect role, you are required to be equipped with strong design skill set for network circuit and capable in stakeholder management.

Key Requirements:

• More than five years experience in telecommunication field with knowledge in a wide portfolio of technology and products across IP, SDH, DWDM and SIP
• Expertise in core network design and architecture is essential
• Good working conceptual knowledge of Cisco, Nokia and DWDM, based equipment
• Experience with IP networking MPLS, Layer 2 technology
• Great understanding of engineering network diagrams
