As Senior Manager Enterprise Resource Planning based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with end-to-end responsibility for a regional ERP product family that underpins operations across 15 affiliates in Asia-Pacific. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with business process owners to capture evolving requirements; translating these into prioritised backlogs; guiding squads through agile delivery cycles; managing resources efficiently; monitoring budgets; tracking ROI; coordinating roll-outs; engaging vendors; reporting progress; resolving challenges collaboratively; nurturing a vibrant Product Owner community; adapting plans responsively; aligning with global strategies while respecting local nuances; ensuring seamless communication between all parties involved; championing best practices in product management; maintaining high standards of quality throughout each phase of the product lifecycle. - Steer the strategic vision and long-term roadmap for the regional ERP product family, ensuring comprehensive coordination across multiple squads dedicated to its success.
- Collect, qualify, and assess demands from global business process owners and internal technology functions, consolidating these into actionable backlogs that reflect both business priorities and technical feasibility.
- Contribute to EPIC demand reviews by performing detailed analysis, acting as EPIC Owner when required, and supporting portfolio backlog review, prioritisation, arbitration, and integration into synchronised backlogs.
- Provide clear product roadmaps and backlog forecasts while overseeing squad resource needs; monitor overall funding requirements by performing variance analysis and tracking return on investment as well as costs.
- Drive product vision through framing analysis and definition of EPICs/features; collaborate with vendor engagement officers to define editor roadmaps while tracking value generation from related investments.
- Oversee all stages of the product lifecycle by providing expert guidance to squads, securing effective arbitration where necessary, ensuring consistent demos and roll-out plans developed in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Coordinate work across product teams by animating the Product Owner community; secure engagement and collaboration while defining squad resource needs in close cooperation with tech leaders.
- Adjust plans and roadmaps based on available resource capacity to ensure optimal delivery outcomes without compromising quality or stakeholder satisfaction.
- Report directly to the ERP & Apps Director by consolidating product backlogs and key metrics such as value delivered, costs incurred, and performance achieved across all managed products.
- Engage regularly with both internal stakeholders (Product Owners, Tech Success Director, Chapter Resources Lead) and external partners (Oracle, WIPRO, DWS Ltd., IBM) to align on resource allocation and functional/technical expertise.
What you bring:
To excel as Senior Manager Enterprise Resource Planning you will bring substantial experience managing large-scale ERP initiatives—preferably within consumer goods or related industries—where you have demonstrated your ability to deliver results through collaborative leadership. Your background should include deep familiarity with JDEdwards systems (both technical/functional aspects), hands-on involvement in cloud migrations (especially Microsoft Azure), advanced skills in agile delivery frameworks (including backlog/EPIC management), proven capability building high-performing teams (with direct reports), outstanding interpersonal abilities for stakeholder engagement/negotiation/reporting purposes plus sound commercial acumen for budget/resource oversight. - Extensive experience leading the full lifecycle management of global ERP products or shared service centres within large-scale organisations operating across multiple geographies.
- Proven track record delivering complex transformation projects involving significant change management components within consumer goods, retail or manufacturing sectors.
- Deep technical and functional understanding of JDEdwards ERP systems including deployment on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Strong strategic planning capabilities combined with a value-driven mindset that ensures alignment between business goals and technology investments.
- Demonstrated people management skills gained from overseeing multiple teams or squads within an agile setup—ideally including direct line management responsibilities for Product Owners.
- Comprehensive knowledge of agile methodologies including backlog management, EPIC analysis/ownership, feature prioritisation/integration into synchronised portfolios.
- Exceptional communication skills enabling effective stakeholder engagement at all levels—from internal business partners through to external vendors providing technical expertise or resources.
- Solid grasp of industry trends/challenges relevant to enterprise resource planning within fast-moving consumer goods environments.
- Experience managing roll-out plans for IT projects/programmes/products—including coordination of demos/training sessions alongside business/proximity teams.
- Ability to perform financial oversight including forecasting squad resource needs, conducting variance analyses on funding requirements/costs incurred per project scope.
