What you'll do:

As an SAP Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the organisation by developing innovative solutions using ABAP programming. • Develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP programmes, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects) to meet evolving business needs.
• Design and implement business logic using object-oriented programming principles within SAP systems.
• Create and modify both SAP standard and custom transactions tailored to specific organisational requirements.
• Manage day-to-day transport processes including dependency analysis and transport execution.
• Conduct thorough SAP Note analysis and implementation to address system issues promptly and apply necessary patches for optimal functionality.
• Perform comprehensive unit testing and actively support integration testing activities to guarantee high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
• Debug and troubleshoot ABAP code effectively to resolve issues quickly while optimising overall system performance.
• Participate in regular code reviews and adhere strictly to development best practices for consistent quality assurance.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation as well as knowledge base articles for standard troubleshooting procedures to support the service desk team.
• Provide timely support for production systems by resolving incidents efficiently and maintaining system stability.
• Engage proactively in continuous upskilling on new SAP technologies and emerging development practices to stay ahead in the field.

• Strong understanding of ABAP programming fundamentals including Data Dictionary objects such as tables, structures, data elements, domains; internal tables; table operations; BAPIs; Function Modules.
• Proficiency in performance optimisation techniques such as database optimisation, SQL tuning, runtime analysis ensuring efficient application delivery.
• Solid knowledge of SAP development tools coupled with advanced debugging techniques enabling swift issue resolution.
• Willingness to work on European timezone when required while maintaining flexibility with Malaysian office hours reflecting adaptability.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team fostering an inclusive environment focused on shared success.
