If you are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance business outcomes and thrive in collaborative environments, this role provides the platform to showcase your expertise while working alongside knowledgeable teams committed to excellence. * Play a key role in shaping the future of business operations by leading a high-profile ERP implementation across multiple countries in Southeast Asia, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. * Enjoy the flexibility of working on a contract basis with exposure to regional projects, allowing you to develop your skills in governance, change management, and process optimisation within a supportive environment. * Benefit from opportunities to work closely with experienced professionals in IT and business functions, gaining valuable insights into best practices for ERP deployment, data migration, compliance, and user training.

What you'll do:

As an ERP Implementation Lead based in Shah Alam, you will be entrusted with overseeing every aspect of a transformative ERP deployment initiative spanning Southeast Asia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating complex project plans that balance global standards with local nuances. You will foster close collaboration among cross-functional teams—ranging from business unit representatives to technical experts—ensuring everyone is aligned towards common goals. By engaging stakeholders at every level, you will gather critical requirements that inform system design decisions while maintaining rigorous oversight of budgetary performance. Your expertise will be vital in guiding data migration efforts, facilitating seamless integration between systems, and championing change management strategies that drive user adoption. Through your commitment to process standardisation and compliance, you will help create lasting value for the organisation while providing essential support during go-live phases. This role offers you the chance to demonstrate your ability to connect people, processes, and technology for optimal results.

  • Lead the end-to-end ERP deployment process across Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment with established process standards while addressing country-specific requirements and challenges.
  • Manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for each in-country implementation phase, identifying opportunities to improve delivery efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and guide local project teams comprising members from various business functions as well as vendor and technology subject matter experts specialising in architecture, integration, data migration, testing, and training.
  • Own financial performance by accurately forecasting budgets and resource utilisation; manage commercial governance including vendor statements of work (SoW) and change control procedures.
  • Collaborate extensively with regional and local stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements, address specific operational challenges, and ensure solutions are tailored to meet local needs.
  • Participate actively in system design processes by contributing inputs that ensure ERP configuration fits local business processes and regulatory requirements; coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) regionally and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Support all aspects of data migration activities by coordinating regional data validation efforts and ensuring consistency with established data standards; assist in integrating ERP systems with other regional applications as required.
  • Drive the established regional change management strategy under APAC leadership by coordinating user training sessions, developing support materials, and implementing communication plans to maximise user adoption.
  • Champion process standardisation by supporting improvements in business processes; minimise deviations or customisations while leading teams to implement standardised procedures effectively.
  • Provide hands-on support during go-live and post-implementation stages by troubleshooting issues promptly and serving as a liaison for escalation to regional IT or managed services teams when necessary.
  • Ensure all ERP configurations comply with local regulatory requirements; proactively identify risks associated with implementation and develop effective mitigation plans.

What you bring:

To excel as an ERP Implementation Lead in this organisation’s ambitious regional programme, you will bring a wealth of experience managing complex deployments across multiple sites. Your academic background will underpin your practical knowledge of ERP platforms—enabling you to navigate intricate system configurations confidently. You will have honed your project management skills through previous roles where coordinating diverse teams was central to success. Your interpersonal strengths will shine as you communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels—building trust through transparency and empathy. Experience driving change management initiatives ensures you can nurture users through transitions while fostering widespread adoption of new systems. Your analytical mindset allows you to identify opportunities for process improvement while remaining sensitive to local regulatory demands. Multilingual abilities or technical expertise in integration may further enhance your contribution but are not prerequisites. Above all else, your commitment to collaboration sets you apart—making you an indispensable partner throughout this transformative journey.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology or a related field is required for this position.
  • At least four years’ experience managing large-scale ERP implementations within regional or multi-site environments is essential; proven expertise in project governance and budget management is highly valued.
  • Comprehensive understanding of major ERP platforms such as JD Edwards Enterprise One, SAP, Oracle EBS or Sage along with familiarity with best practices for implementation including cutover planning is expected.
  • Demonstrated expert-level project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively across different locations.
  • Excellent communication abilities enabling you to work collaboratively with both regional and global teams while building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in change management initiatives including user training programmes is crucial for success in this role.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities focused on continuous process improvement are required; attention to detail when addressing operational challenges is important.
