What you'll do:
As a Health Information Systems Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of healthcare technology within our organisation. You will be responsible for performing assessments for new or existing projects, recommending the best-fit EMR solution for each site. Your ability to act as a product owner for EMR/HIS will be crucial, developing a product backlog that meets both user and client needs. Your deep understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical data, and medical terminologies will enable you to translate complex clinical requirements into actionable plans. Your collaboration skills will be put to good use as you work with internal teams to optimise user experience. Leveraging your expertise in healthcare interoperability standards, you will facilitate integration with other healthcare IT systems.
- Perform assessments for new or existing projects and recommend the best-fit EMR solution for the project/site.
- Act as product owner for EMR/HIS; develop and own a product backlog.
- Provide recommendations on improvement areas and/or new requirements for setting up the application roadmap.
- Provide expert oversight and recommendations to implementation team in EMR/HIS roll-outs.
- Design and/or review clinical needs to align with business goals.
- Apply deep knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical data, and medical terminologies to facilitate the translation of clinical requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize user experience.
- Accountable for all functional aspects of the assigned EMR/HIS application.
- Leverage expertise in healthcare interoperability standards, such as HL7 and FHIR, to facilitate integration with other healthcare IT systems.
- Work closely with technical and application teams in the rollout of enhancements.

- Vast experience in HIS/EMR applications and other healthcare systems.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of clinical processes and workflows.
- Experience in integrating HIS with sub-systems, such as LIS/RIS/PACS/ERP or HIE.
- Working knowledge of HL7 v2, v3, or FHIR.
- Working knowledge of healthcare data standards such are ICD 9/10, CPT, HCPCS, LIONIC, SNOMED- CT.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting in a healthcare context.
- High level technical knowledge/comprehension.
- Refined communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
