What you'll do:

As an Application Support Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure smooth operation and support of various applications. You will work closely with the Head of Applications, providing technical assistance where necessary. Your role will also involve liaising with different teams within the organisation, such as the clinic IT team for infrastructure requirements and the Info Sec team for resolving application vulnerabilities. You will also be tasked with identifying and evaluating technology solutions that can enhance operational efficiency. A key part of your role will be gaining a rapid understanding of the existing application architecture landscape.

• Work closely with the Head of Applications
• Liaise with clinic IT team for infrastructure requirements
• Provisioning of environments
• Installation and configuration of applications and databases
• Establish backup policies and procedures
• Provide technical support to the Applications team
• Collaborate with Info Sec team to resolve vulnerabilities on the applications
• Identify and evaluate technology solutions
• Rapidly gain an in-depth understanding of the “as is” architecture landscape of existing applications

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Application Support Engineer role is someone who brings excellent communication and interpersonal skills to the table. You should have a knack for motivating project teams to meet tight deadlines and possess strong analytical skills. Your ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment will be crucial in this role. Experience in automated testing software is highly desirable, as is experience working in waterfall & agile, lean, dev-sec-ops focused environments.
