Our client is seeking a highly skilled SAP FICO Consultant to join their global team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and dynamic team, providing oversight and coordination across a portfolio of technical solutions. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of SAP FICO configuration capabilities, including a deep understanding of underlying business processes across the financial domain.

What you'll do:

As an SAP FICO Consultant, you will play a key role in interfacing between the business and technical teams. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating processes and standard practices related to the high-level design, development, and implementation of solutions across a portfolio of projects. Your extensive knowledge of SAP FICO configuration capabilities will be crucial in understanding the underlying business processes across the financial domain. You will also be expected to stay abreast of current trends/technologies in consumer space.

  • Translate business domain needs/requirements into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess current capabilities and identify solution gaps
  • Examine current system architectures and recommend solutions for modernising existing processes or systems
  • Design solutions to avoid latency and meet performance needs of end-users
  • Monitor development/implementation process and adherence to the solution architecture
  • Support major R2R enhancements and projects in support of the Finance organisation

What you bring:

The ideal SAP FICO Consultant will bring a wealth of experience in Information Technology or Finance. You should have 5-8 years of SAP experience including deep business process knowledge across the Finance space. Your ability to influence, coupled with your problem-solving / analytical thinking skills will be essential in this role. Additionally, your understanding of future technologies and ability to tie together solutions across systems will be crucial in driving success.

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP FICO functionality including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, and Treasury
  • Experience working with a global template for large multinational organisations
  • Strong functional knowledge of FICO functionality including COPA
  • Knowledge of ASAP and waterfall methodologies as well as Hybrid-Agile methodologies
  • Ability to graphically document workflow, roles and responsibilities at a functional level
  • Capability to transform functional specifications into technical specifications
