IT Project Manager (Digital Banking)

What you'll do:
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving and managing digital customer engagement platform projects. You will be responsible for managing IT activities and coordinating with team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your ability to identify deviations in project planning, monitoring, execution and closure will be crucial in this role. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring clarity of project progress, deviations, risks and issues. Additionally, you will manage vendors where required and lead the scrum team in using agile and scrum practices.
- Manage IT activities & IT project team members
- Ensure scope, timeline, budgeting and resourcing are effectively managed and tracked
- Identify deviations in project planning, monitoring, execution & closure and resolve promptly
- Communicate, report & engage with stakeholders as a key representative of group tech
- Ensure compliance to bank’s policies & processes for project(s) managed
- Manage vendors where the project requires external parties
- Lead the scrum team in using agile & scrum practices
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this IT Project Manager role brings a wealth of experience from the field. With a degree in computer science or a related discipline, you have spent at least six years honing your skills as an IT project manager within software delivery environments. Your expertise extends to cyber security projects related to chats, notifications, straight through processing, loyalty campaigns and marketplace ecosystems. As a Scrum Master with at least one year's experience under your belt, you're proficient in using tools like Jira and Confluence. Your strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, coupled with highly effective communication abilities, make you a standout candidate.
- Degree in related computer science principles
- 6 years’ experience in IT project manager role in the context of software delivery with in-house development
- Good experience in scrum master role
- Proficient in using Jira & Confluence
- Strong interpersonal & collaborative skills as well as highly effective communication skills
