An exciting Chief Digital Officer job has just become available at one of the most well-established conglomerates in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will direct and execute digital and technology vision, strategies, and agenda to achieve business and stakeholder goals.
About the Chief Digital Officer Role:
As the CDO, you will Advise on investment in digital and technology solutions, and develop partnerships with key technology players.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy
- Develop the digital and technology vision and to advise the business on long-term digital and technology direction
- Leverage on technology and data analytics to create and deliver value for stakeholders
- Keep abreast of industry and market innovations to advise the leadership team on suitable technology solutions to ensure that the digital strategy remains current and relevant
Digital Platform Development
- Oversee the designing and development of digital platform to meet business goals
- Establish scope and content for digital platform development
- Manage sprint planning and reviews for development
- Partner with digital/ technology solutions vendors to develop and maintain the digital platform, monitoring vendor SLAs are adhered to
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Plan and strategise platform updates releases
- Oversee and ensure that maintenance troubleshooting, debugging and queries are managed on a timely manner
Establish and Monitor Cybersecurity Risk
- Establish and maintain an organisation-wide information security management and to ensure that information assets are adequately protected
- Adopt DevSecOps to achieve continuous cybersecurity risk and manage digital threats
To succeed in this Chief Digital Officer role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior members of the organisation, across borders, and internal matrix.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in building, developing or scaling digital platforms for SCM, logistics, order fulfilment or FMCG businesses
- Experience leading, managing, developing and architecting end-to-end digital solutions in a start-up environment
- Degree preferably in Information System Management, Application Development or Project Management
- Demonstrated a track record and senior leadership experience in leading and driving IT strategy and digital transformation projects
- Strong digital-tech-commercial orientation besides excellent people management skills across different levels of the organisation
