Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Senior Manager for their Cargowise platform. This role is an integral part of the global IT Freight product team, offering the opportunity to lead a team of associate technical solution managers and developers. The successful candidate will have the chance to engage with business and operational decision-makers, system/product specialists, vendors, solution providers, and end users.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Manager - Cargowise, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our client's freight product offerings. You will facilitate crucial meetings with decision-makers, specialists, vendors, and end users to align everyone's goals. Your expertise will be invaluable in defining both functional and non-functional business requirements. Collaborating with various teams, you'll help plan, design, develop, and deploy new applications/systems while enhancing existing ones. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you review current systems for efficiency and support project leaders in managing delivery scope.
- Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals
- Define functional and non-functional business requirements
- Collaborate with various teams on new applications/systems development
- Analyse business processes and suggest system improvements
- Lead design sessions for mapping new applications or systems
- Own all product documentation ensuring compliance with rules
- Review existing applications or systems for effectiveness and efficiency
- Support project leaders in managing delivery scope
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Manager - Cargowise position brings a wealth of experience in business system analysis and the freight forwarding industry. With at least 10 years' experience in the Cargowise system, they possess deep knowledge of its functional processes, workflows, technical aspects, and integration capabilities. Their skill set includes system integrations, building APIs, order management systems, accounting knowledge (preferably SAP or any ERP), and a solid understanding of the full project management and software development life cycle.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in business system analysis
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in freight forwarding industry
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Cargowise system including functional process knowledge, workflow, technical knowledge, integration
- Knowledge in system integrations and building APIs
- Experience in any order management system is a plus
- Accounting knowledge- SAP or any ERP is a plus.
- Solid experience across the full project management and software development life cycle
