This role offers the opportunity to work in a productive environment, ensuring high availability of supported systems. The successful candidate will have the chance to provide support to customer sites on a rostered basis, either remotely or at the customer's premise, and contribute to an online knowledge base. This role also involves travel within APAC-MEA.

What you'll do:

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional support services to our customers. Your role will involve a variety of tasks from providing remote or onsite support, effectively managing customer operations, communicating with stakeholders, resolving incidents, maintaining hardware and software systems, contributing to our knowledge base, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting with training. This role requires someone who is not only technically proficient but also has excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Provide support to customer sites on a rostered basis either remotely or at customer’s premise
  • Provide on-call standby support outside of normal rostered hours, including public holidays
  • Effectively support the customer’s operation; start, monitoring and control of the software and equipment
  • Communicate clearly with the customer and internal stakeholders to keep them fully informed about the outcome and progress of relevant issues
  • Investigate and resolve support incidents to allow the customer systems to resume normal operations
  • Continually assess the performance of the software and equipment to maintain the parameters and standards of its operation, and assist in making corrections or improvements
  • Support and maintain both hardware and software systems including software updates and hardware upgrades
  • Assist with training of other team members and apprentices within area of expertise
  • Update and contribute to the online knowledge base
  • Identify, propose, and organise improvement on functionality

What you bring:

The ideal Application Support Analyst will bring a wealth of experience in analytical problem-solving and customer management. You should have strong documentation skills and a good level of SQL (Oracle, Microsoft). Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux and network concepts is also required. Experience with Waterfall/Agile methodologies will be beneficial, as well as an ISTQB certification. You should be able to generate quality technical documentation and have knowledge of warehouse management processes and automation. Effective communication skills, both internal and external, written and verbal are crucial for this role.

  • High analytical skills and customer management skills are essential
  • Strong documentation skills are required
  • Good level of SQL (Oracle, Microsoft) is necessary
  • Basic Unix/Linux and network concepts knowledge is needed
  • Experience with Waterfall/Agile methodologies is beneficial
