Specialist - Security Education & Awareness
Ever wondered why people still click suspicious links—even after training? If you’re curious about human behaviour, love storytelling, and want to turn security from a checkbox into a mindset, this role is for you.
We’re looking for a Security Education and Awareness Specialist to help shape how people think, feel, and act when it comes to cybersecurity. You’ll create engaging content, design awareness campaigns, and use insights to build a strong, positive security culture across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Security Education and Awareness, you’ll work at the intersection of communication, psychology, and technology—helping employees make safer choices every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Design and support creative security education and awareness initiatives that align with business goals and real employee needs.
-
Craft engaging content for EDMs, campaigns, digital platforms, user guides, and collaterals—making security clear, relatable, and memorable.
-
Turn data into stories: analyse campaign results, spot trends, and share insights to continuously improve engagement and effectiveness.
-
Create, refresh, and maintain education materials covering IT security policies, standards, and guidelines.
-
Support organisation-wide awareness campaigns, events, and outreach activities.
-
Assist with audit and regulatory requests related to security education and awareness.
What You Bring
Education
-
Diploma or Degree in Mass Communications, Business, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
-
Basic understanding of information technology and cybersecurity concepts.
Experience & Skills
-
Experience (or strong interest) in creating and delivering education or awareness programmes.
-
A good grasp of human behaviour and motivation—because security is as much about people as it is about technology.
-
Ability to balance business needs with security requirements while building strong, trusted stakeholder relationships.
-
Process- and stakeholder-oriented, with a foundational understanding of security concepts and technologies.
-
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple initiatives.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—you like knowing what works and why.
-
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
-
Confident in setting and managing stakeholder expectations.
Why This Role Matters
What you create will directly influence how people behave, how risks are reduced, and how security becomes part of everyday work—not just a yearly reminder.
If you enjoy communicating complex ideas simply, experimenting with new ways to engage audiences, and making a real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Do note that we will only be in touch if your application is shortlisted.
