To excel as an AS400 Security Engineer in this organisation, you will bring a solid foundation in engineering or computer science complemented by hands-on experience in AS400 Security Administration. Your background should include project management exposure—ideally involving AS400 systems—and familiarity with relevant programming languages. - At least five years’ proven experience performing AS400 Security Administration or managing AS400 Application systems within large organisations is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects—preferably those related to AS400—is highly desirable for this position.
- Hands-on proficiency with AS400-related programming languages is expected so you can contribute effectively from day one.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements such as MAS TRM or PCI DSS is necessary for ensuring compliance across all activities.
- Excellent communication skills are vital for sharing knowledge clearly within teams as well as when liaising with external stakeholders or auditors.
- Leadership abilities combined with a collaborative mindset are important for supporting team members and driving shared success.
- Process awareness coupled with strong analytical problem-solving skills will enable you to identify risks early and propose effective solutions.
