What you'll do:
As GIS Lead based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with overseeing a talented team of security experts who are responsible for maintaining the integrity of critical systems. Your day-to-day activities will involve guiding technical resources through complex challenges while nurturing their professional growth. You will collaborate extensively with various stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and facilitate smooth delivery of projects. - Oversee a dedicated team of approximately 30 security professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to ensure high performance and knowledge sharing.
- Lead a group of around 18 security engineers in managing the lifecycle of security technologies from design through deployment and maintenance.
- Implement best practices for operational excellence by establishing metrics and service governance reporting to highlight areas for continuous improvement.
- Support strategic projects and service enhancements that align with the broader information and cyber security strategy as well as the technology roadmap.
- Champion process awareness throughout the team by identifying automation opportunities and promoting effective time management practices.
- Manage cross-functional communications between security teams, technology departments, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination.
- Facilitate project prioritisation, escalation management, and effective decision-making processes to maintain focus on organisational objectives.

- Experience making informed decisions within complex organisational structures while presenting solutions clearly to business or management audiences.
- Solid grasp of end user platforms, network technologies as well as familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
