IT Audit Manager (Conglomerate)

What you'll do:

As an IT Audit Manager, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility for overseeing the planning and execution of IT audits across a wide spectrum of business units.

• Assist the Head of Internal Audit in designing and updating the annual Internal Audit Plan, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all relevant IT areas.
• Lead end-to-end IT audits by scoping assignments, evaluating systems, conducting testing procedures, reporting findings, following up on issues, and recommending enhancements to internal controls.
• Conduct thorough audits across various processes, technologies, and platforms including IT governance, infrastructure, networks, applications, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
• Identify technology-related risks throughout the organisation and recommend appropriate controls tailored to risk levels, business needs, and practical implementation considerations.
• Develop and maintain detailed audit programmes that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Create and implement data analysis tools to enhance audit efficiency; provide support and training to team members on using data analytics for continuous auditing purposes.
• Prepare clear, concise, and effective communications—both oral and written—for all levels of management to ensure transparency of audit outcomes.
• Attend audit meetings as required and prepare accurate minutes to document discussions and action points.
• Perform ad hoc audits or investigations into areas of concern as they arise to address urgent organisational needs.

What you bring:

• Experience in managing IT internal audit assignments within large organisations or reputable consulting firms.
• Proficiency in applying internal auditing standards such as GTAG along with sound knowledge of IT-related matters and accounting principles.
• Demonstrated ability to stay updated on regulatory changes as well as evolving industry standards relevant to IT audit functions.
• Experience working with ISMS, COBIT or similar audit frameworks would be considered an advantage for this role.
• Excellent organisational skills combined with strong analytical abilities that enable you to assess complex systems effectively.
