What you'll do:
As a Network Engineer within this Consulting team, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of shaping resilient network architectures that underpin global operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve hands-on:
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including SD-WAN solutions, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring systems to ensure robust security and performance.
- Implement and manage advanced routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP to optimise network reliability across multiple sites.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and assessment of network performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement and taking measures to mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with internal technology teams as well as regional business units to align network security practices with both organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders by leveraging your proficiency in Japanese or Korean for technical collaboration.
- Support the integration of new technologies into existing network environments while ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Participate in troubleshooting complex network issues, providing expert guidance to resolve incidents efficiently.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures clearly to maintain transparency and facilitate future upgrades.
- Assist in planning for future capacity needs by analysing current usage trends and forecasting growth requirements.
- Engage in regular reviews of security policies to ensure the highest standards of protection are maintained throughout the organisation.
What you bring:
Your proven track record as a Network Engineer will be evident through your hands-on experience designing secure infrastructures for large-scale organisations. You will posses the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline demonstrating foundational knowledge required for complex networking tasks.
- At least five years’ experience working as a network engineer or within network security roles ideally supporting multinational or enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in SD-WAN technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Versa or Viptela enabling you to deliver robust solutions tailored to business needs.
- Comprehensive understanding of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and MPLS along with associated design principles.
- Demonstrated proficiency managing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems plus other essential network security appliances ensuring high levels of protection.
- Relevant professional certifications (CCNP, CCIE, NSE or PCNSE) are highly desirable reflecting your commitment to ongoing learning.
- Exceptional analytical abilities paired with meticulous attention to detail allowing you to identify issues before they escalate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as well as fluency in Japanese or Korean facilitating smooth interactions with clients across Asia-Pacific.
- Experience supporting Asia-Pacific network operations or working within global IT environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with cloud networking frameworks (AWS, Azure or GCP) plus an understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architectures would be beneficial.
