Principal Cloud Security Engineer

The successful candidate will provide technical engineering, leadership and system administration to build resilient cloud infrastructure that leverages cloud-native capabilities including auto-scaling and automated management.

What you'll do:
As a Principal Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and maintenance of our client's Cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for facilitating the creation of architectural frameworks for Cloud servers, hardware, peripherals, and connections. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing standards and guidelines to ensure adequate capacity for corporate computing needs. You will also coordinate technical support, provisioning, and automation capabilities for compute resources across public and private cloud services. A key part of your role will involve maintaining operating efficiency and stability while ensuring the security and integrity of all systems and data.
- Lead and coordinate the design, development, and maintenance of the Cloud infrastructure, network, and layout of a data center.
- Facilitate creation of architectural framework for Cloud servers, hardware, peripherals, and connections.
- Implement standards and guidelines ensuring adequate capacity for corporate computing needs.
- Coordinate and lead technical support, provisioning, and automation capabilities for compute resources across public and private cloud services.
- Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data.
- Develop and implement comprehensive cloud security frameworks and policies.
- Administer and implement cloud security tools such as CSPM.
- Design security controls and best practices for cloud applications and infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling for cloud architectures.
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats and vulnerabilities.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Principal Cloud Security Engineer position brings advanced engineering knowledge of Public Cloud Services including Monitoring, Access, Compute, Storage, Networking, Security Configuration & Database services. You have proven experience in designing, developing, deploying, and testing public cloud architecture. Your strong background in Information Security and compliance controls sets you apart. You are proficient with Terraform and Python and have a solid understanding of SQL and NoSql data stores. Your leadership skills shine through your experience in mentoring technical staff. You also bring experience with programming and infrastructure automation.
- Advanced engineering knowledge of Public Cloud Services including: Monitoring, Access, Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Configuration, Database services.
- Experience designing, developing, deploying, testing public cloud architecture.
- Strong background in Information Security and compliance controls.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Python.
- Solid understanding of SQL and NoSql data stores.
- Leadership skills with experience in mentoring technical staff.
- Experience with programming and infrastructure automation (e.g. Terraform, AWSCLI, Ansibul, Python).
