Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dynamic Information Technology team. This role offers the opportunity to monitor, evaluate and assess IT Security controls, policies, setup, and configuration for compliance. You will be managing cybersecurity alerts or threats by performing profound threat analysis. This position is based in Subang Jaya and offers an exciting opportunity to engage in 'ethical hacking', simulating security breaches and maintaining an information security risk register.

What you'll do:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our client's digital assets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring SOC alerts, responding to IT security tickets promptly, conducting network and server security assessments, investigating potential security breaches, managing EDR tools, ensuring endpoint device compliance, participating in vulnerability assessments, monitoring IT security tool compliance, and conducting regular IT security awareness training. You will also have the unique opportunity to engage in 'ethical hacking' to simulate potential security breaches.
- Monitoring Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts closely for any security issues.
- Ensuring all tickets raised by SOC and internal IT Security ticket are responded and closed within committed service level.
- Performing network and server security control and assessments including evaluating design and requirements.
- Performing cyber threat analysis and investigation on potential security breaches and other related cybersecurity incidents.
- Managing and monitoring Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tool in terms of endpoint compliance, alerts response, and policy configurations.
- Ensuring endpoint devices (workstation/servers) compliance in terms of security and critical patches involving operating systems, standard/custom applications, and hardware firmware.
- Participating actively in penetrations and vulnerabilities assessment exercise performed by external vendors.
- Actively monitoring and evaluating compliance of all IT Security tools configurations and policies.
- Performing IT Security awareness training on scheduled basis to all community members.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Cybersecurity Analyst role brings a wealth of experience in information security analysis or a similar role. You are knowledgeable about AD, Azure Hybrid platforms, various other public/private cloud, Windows, Linux, and other OS. You have a proven track record of managing network and server security, conducting red-teaming exercises, hardening network and IT infrastructure, securing cloud apps (including API gateway security), and identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities. Your experience with penetration testing techniques will be highly valuable in this role.
- Proven work experience as Information Security Analyst or similar role.
- Experience in red-teaming exercise, network and server security management.
- Knowledgeable in AD, Azure Hybrid platforms and various other public/private cloud architecture.
- Specialize in hardening of network, IT infrastructure and cloud app security (including API gateway security).
- Proficient with Windows, Linux, and other OS.
- Experienced with penetration testing and techniques.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
