What you'll do:
As a Senior Manager for Systems Security, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's IT infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement robust IT security strategic plans, policies, and procedures. You will oversee all aspects of security operations, from monitoring and logging to coordinating responses to various threats. Leading a team of dedicated IT professionals, you will conduct comprehensive risk assessments, develop effective mitigation strategies, manage incident responses, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Your ability to monitor KPIs effectively will be crucial in measuring the success of your implemented strategies.
- Develop and implement IT security strategic plans, policies and procedures
- Oversee security operations including monitoring, logging, and analysis of security events and incidents
- Coordinate responses to security alerts and threats
- Lead and manage a team of IT security professionals in daily operations and project implementation
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scanning to identify and prioritise security risks
- Develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks
- Manage incident response including investigation of security breaches and implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of security controls
- Prepare write-ups/papers/presentation materials for management reporting
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this position brings a wealth of experience in IT security roles. With a minimum of 10 years' experience under your belt, you have developed a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles. Your hands-on experience with various security tools such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, anti-virus software, web-application firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability assessment tools sets you apart. Your strong analytical skills enable you to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions. You have a proven track record of leading and managing teams, and your excellent interpersonal and communication skills make you a valuable team player.
- A recognised Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT security roles
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles with hands-on experience on security tools e.g. firewalls, intrusion prevention system, anti-virus, web-application firewall, SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability assessment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex security issues
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
