This well-established telecommunication organisation is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated candidate for a Head of Risk job. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide oversight of the group's risks and ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the group's risk management policies and control systems.

About the Head of Risk Role:
The role is responsible to develop, promote and maintain an effective enterprise risk management system over all risks facing the group including regulatory, operational risk, technology risk, cybersecurity risk, market risk, business risk and financial risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish enterprise risk management framework which will identify, assess, monitor and report risks in a structured and timely manner
• Establish risk related policies, risk appetites and risk strategies to mitigate risks
• Promote risk awareness culture within the group through risk awareness programme (communications, workshops, dialogues) and sharing of past learning
• Proactively drive risk management practices in the business
• Drive, work and support other team members in the group to develop effective plans to mitigate risks including cybersecurity, business continuity and disaster recovery

To succeed in this Head of Risk role, you need to be experienced in a fast-moving environment of a leading market player. You will need to demonstrate strong managerial skill and commercial sense to deal with demanding stakeholders and provide guidance to the Board members on any risk initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Audit, Business, or similar field
• At least 15 years' experience in a similar capacity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to work with various levels of stakeholders including engaging at board level
• Demonstrated leadership experience and capabilities
• Good understanding of the telecommunications/ICT industry and the risks prevalent in the industry, e.g. technology/cyber risk and regulatory risks, etc.
