An exciting Senior IT Security Project Manager job has just become available at a well-recognised financial services group based in Malaysia. Your main responsibility is to strategise and lead the roll-out of IT security related projects in enhancing the cybersecurity controls of the group.

About the Senior IT Security Project Manager Role:
You will be taking responsibility for leading project teams in developing strategies and recommending solutions to protect the IT security infrastructure of the financial services group, ensuring the projects are being implemented within the schedule and budget to achieve its objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recommend developing and implementing IT security strategies and technologies in-line with the evolving internal and external cybersecurity threats
• Conduct research, recommend strategies and new control measures to establish and enforce compliance with company’s IT security policies and standards
• Manage the implementation of security projects, act as Technical Project Manager that defines project work plan, milestones, schedule and budgets
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in safeguarding the company’s assets

To succeed in this Senior IT Security Project Manager role, you will need to be a high-potential and motivated individual who is passionate about enhancing the financial service group’s IT Security and ensuring its compliance with various policies and standards.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent
• 10 years of experience in IT security operations or IT security project management
• Experience or involvement in implementing security devices/products
• Experience in evaluating various security products, strategy and best practices
• Knowledge in information security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements, i.e. ISO 27001, NIST
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Experience in financial services is an advantage
• CISSP/CISM/CEH/TOGAF/PMP certification is an advantage
