Digital Forensics & Incident Response

An exciting Digital Forensics & Incident Response job has just become available at an award-winning bank based in Malaysia. Your main responsibility is to act as the subject-matter expert in protecting the bank’s cybersecurity against threats and breaches.

About the Digital Forensics & Incident Response Role:
You will be responsible for managing the bank’s cybersecurity through daily support and maintenance with various security teams, developing and maintaining all tools and infrastructure, Threat Hunting, Malware Analysis and Reporting on all incidents in order to support the bank’s security team to take action on threats and breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the SME in developing and maintaining tools (Honeypots, VM, Script) and system infrastructure needed to support overall threat intelligence and incident response tasks
• Support the SOC in assessing daily security alerts by investigating the malicious artefacts and binaries when additional coverage is needed
• Develop rules for threat hunting, threat alert responses and detecting adversary TTP on the Bank’s systems and networks
• Analyse Code, Script and Artefacts to determine incoming content with malicious intent
• Manage Security Analysis, Reporting and Recommendations for relevant stakeholders to act to control security gaps

To succeed in this Digital Forensics & Incident Response role, you will need to be a highly driven and motivated individual who is passionate about constantly improving the bank’s cybersecurity infrastructure.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of experience in Incident Response or any relevant field
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, majoring in Cybersecurity, Networking, or any relevant education background
• Proven experience in Threat Hunting and/or Malware Analysis and relevant certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Comptia CySA+ or any certification that is related to the responsibilities mentioned above
• Preferably prior background in financial services or related field but not compulsory
• Positive and proactive work ethics
