SPLUNK Engineer

An exciting SPLUNK Engineer job has just been made available at the nation’s largest financial services group.

About the SPLUNK Engineer Role
You will be responsible for the group’s SIEM operations to get insights into threats, vulnerabilities, security technologies, and identity information across all businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the security information and event management (SIEM) of the organisation
• Create custom SIEM rules. Perform user requirement study, site survey, planning and design
• Be responsible for network and security project assessment, planning, design, installation, configuration, trouble shooting, commissioning, support, and maintenance
• Document system configuration and prepare technical documentation
• Manage and provide solutions to the reported support cases and technical issues, troubleshoot, debug and enhancement
• Work with threat intelligence sources (OSINT and CTI)

The successful SPLUNK Engineer is a highly motivated individual who can perform a very technical role within the organisation. You can communicate well, understand service delivery frameworks and ISMS concepts, and have in-depth knowledge of IT security best practices and ISO 27001 standards.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology
• Minimum of three years of related work experience in log analysis, SIEM design, deployment, and integration, SOC operations, malware analysis
• Familiar with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• An analytical mindset, a problem-solving attitude and business relationship skills
• Able to work independently and can manage multiple projects and task demands effectively (multitasking/prioritisation skills)
• CISSP, GSEC or GCIH certifications is an advantage
• Good communication skills
