Network Security Engineer

An exciting Network Security Engineer job has just become available at a multinational insurance and finance corporation. You will be responsible for designing or reviewing network security matters, and assisting in the strategy, standards, and architecture for the security aspects of the security operations and architecture.

About the Network Security Engineer Role:
You will be serving as a technical lead to support and onboard new security technologies or expand the capabilities of existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute IT operations activities according to the organisation's risk and compliance requirements
• Ensure continuous surveillance and monitoring of IT infrastructure and applications and implementation of IT security controls to safeguard from internal and external threats
• Develop and implement application and infrastructure security strategies
• Partake in analysis on threats, vulnerabilities and breaches alongside security vendors
• Perform management and IT security administrative functions associated with the company IT security
• Monitor the administrative procedures and services by outsourced service providers of IT systems, non-compliance issues/other deviations and perform vulnerability assessment to ensure the IT security management are adhered to and is consistent with IT security procedures and guidelines required
• Work in collaboration with the supervisor in IT infrastructure operations which covers networks, servers, storage and management of mobile devices including desktop
• Automate IT security management tasks

The successful Network Security Engineer is a high-potential and motivated individual who goes the extra mile to make a difference while working closely with the business.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of experience in Network Security
• Practical experience as a network administrator
• Practical experience in Network Security
• Extensive knowledge of Network Security under cloud environments
• Good knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS
• Good experience in, or understanding of concepts such as micro segmentation, managed devices, Network protocols, Zero Trust, Access management, Firewall, IPS, VPN, Web proxy, other Network Security devices
• Able to discuss with service providers, work closely with Cybersecurity and other Security teams to evaluate business requests and propose designs to determine feasibility.
• Experience in handling use cases for logs of network security devices
• Good English communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Information Systems or a related field
• Network certifications
