Regional DevOps Lead (AWS)

A global agriculture technology player is seeking a hands-on Regional DevOps Lead to architect and secure its AWS-native integration and data ecosystem. This role focuses on building scalable, secure cloud-native integrations while ensuring the reliability of event-driven architectures. The position demands deep expertise in AWS services, automation, and data infrastructure hardening against emerging threats.

Key Skills: AWS iPaaS (Apache Kafka, EventBridge, Step Functions), serverless architecture design, Amazon Aurora database management, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK), CI/CD pipeline automation, data encryption (TLS/KMS), API security (WAF, JWT validation), compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001), cloud-native integration solutions, DevSecOps practices

What you'll do:

• Design and secure serverless integration pipelines using AWS iPaaS services like Apache Kafka, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Implement fine-grained access controls, encrypt data-in-transit/motion, and harden API security with WAF and JWT validation.
• Build Git repository-driven CI/CD pipelines with embedded security measures.
• Optimize and secure Amazon Aurora databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), enforce encryption protocols, automate patching/backups, and lead disaster recovery drills.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align regional needs with global standards while ensuring smooth project transitions.

What you bring:

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT with a focus on DevOps/DevSecOps disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of AWS iPaaS stack (Apache Kafka, EventBridge, Step Functions, etc.) and proven ability to replace third-party solutions with AWS-native ones.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform/CDK and container security (ECR/ECS/EKS).
• Expertise in managing Aurora databases (backup/restore, performance tuning) and securing data-intensive workloads.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers into senior roles and presenting technical solutions to stakeholders.
