Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and management of our on-premises and Azure cloud environment. This role is pivotal in driving our cloud migration strategy while ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with best practices. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Azure services, hybrid IT environments, and automation tools like Terraform and PowerShell.

What you'll do:

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure and hybrid IT environments.
• Lead secure migration of on-premises systems and workloads to Azure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environments to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with organizational goals.
• Enhance security measures across hybrid environments and ensure compliance with policies.
• Develop templates for server builds and manage privileged account access.
• Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies and recommend improvements.
• Document processes for change control, testing, disaster recovery, and data protection.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience as an Azure Cloud Administrator/Engineer; 6+ years in systems engineering.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure services (VMs, App Services, SQL Database, AD).
• Strong knowledge of hybrid infrastructure (Azure, Windows Server, Linux).
• Proficiency in Terraform, PowerShell scripting, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Advanced understanding of Active Directory/Azure AD and network protocols (DNS, Kerberos).
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or MCSE preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor junior team members.
